I am a digital designer that uses my mahi toi as a way of expressing myself and my inspirations creatively. I am inspired by mātauranga Māori and the pakiwaitara of our culture. Creating mahi toi Māori gives me a sense of being closer/connected to my tūpuna and culture, using designs and knowledge that has been passed down through generations to me. The designs I create are a way to expand on my understanding of Te Ao Māori and to share the pakiwaitara and knowledge of our culture that I know with others.
