Amelia Blundell
Ngāpuhi and Ngāti Kahu

A recent graduate of Toi Ngāpuhi's Tai o Hī Tai o Hā wānanga series, Amelia has been learning from kaiuku no Ngāpuhi-nui-tonu and developing her own uku practice. Inspired by her whakapapa, she hopes to create pieces that whakatinana our Indigenous ways of being, celebrating who we are and how we move in the world.

Whakamihi the whenua and return to Papatūānuku inside this uku vessel. Unfired and bound together by muka, this ipu uku will help feed the land that feeds your whānau and bind your pēpi to the source that will feed generations to come. A special moment in time for māmā, pēpi and whānau, add futher adornments of kōkōwai, waiata, karakia - kei a koe me to whānau.
