Caroline Efaraimo is a ringatoi and an aspiring Tāmoko & Tātatau practitioner who has a solid foundation in the discipline of Whakairo. Caroline was a former tauira of Te Wananga O Aotearoa ki Tāmaki for 6 years, building a solid foundation in Te Reo Māori and Te Reo Whakairo. In 2021, she was then offered the opportunity to give back by serving as a Kaiako Whakairo. Caroline’s whakapapa has guided her pathway as her ara leads back to Waikato, Ngāti Mahuta Kaiwhakairo and Tohunga Tāmoko, Te Aho o Te Rangi Wharepu. With her Tīpuna as the guiding inspiration, Caroline aspires to break limiting generational ideologies, shaped by colonization, within her own whānau by pursuing this ara in hopes that, through her life, others can see the possibilities within theirs
