The kākāriki represents all those who stood before and those who have created a path for young Māori to be Māori and to speak Māori . I have used the Poutama pattern to show the journey and steps we will all walk to become Rangatira for tomorrow. I have utilized the Unaunahi to show the plentiful of kai / mātauranga we have all been fed to encourage us to take on those first steps.
