Anikaaro is honoured and blessed to have skills and knowledge connected to the artform of Moko. It is a privilege to be a carrier of this artform as a descendent of Ngāpuhi, given there is not much korero or documentation of Ringataa, let alone wāhine taa in the North (excluding the great Wharetohunga of Waihou and Piripi Hapeta of Otaua). The privilege she experiences is the ability to share kōrero and skills with those who are eager to learn the artform, those who resemble a humble nature and have a passion for tikanga, without these traits the fire of Moko will not burn.
